AAL Joint Programme

The Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Joint Programme is a funding activity running from 2008 to 2013 with the aim of enhancing the quality of life of older people and strengthening the industrial base in Europe through the use of ICTs. The programme is financed by the European Commission and the 22 countries that constitute the Partner States of this Joint Programme: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

European Innovation Partnership (EIP) Strategic Implementation Plan on Active and Healthy Ageing (AHA)

The European Innovation Partnership (EIP) Strategic Implementation Plan on Active and Healthy Ageing (AHA) is a partnership among stakeholders, facilitated by the European Commission, to change how health and social care for older people are delivered across Europe. Six Action Groups have been formed for this purpose, made up of universities and research groups, public authorities, health providers, industry, non-governmental organizations representing citizens, older people and patients, and others.
