  • e-Skills UK is the Sector Skills Council for Business and Information Technology, rated 'outstanding' in the re-licensing of Sector Skills Councils in 2009. e-Skills UK work on behalf of employers to ensure the UK has the technology skills it needs to succeed in a global digital economy. Its work covers software, internet & web, IT services, telecommunications and business change. Its website contains a section with all the necessary implementation documentation for colleges, training providers and employers delivering the e-skills NVQs/SVQs.   • STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
    The key objectives of the National STEM Centre are to:
    -House the UK's largest collection of STEM teaching and learning resources, in order to provide teachers of STEM subjects with the ability to access a wide range of support materials.
    -Bring together STEM partners with a shared mission to support STEM education, thus supporting the government's STEM Programme.
 
  • Edexcel, is the UK's largest awarding body offering academic and vocational qualifications and testing to schools, colleges, employers and other places of learning in the UK and internationally.
 
  • OCR is a leading UK awarding body, providing a wide range of qualifications to meet the needs of learners of all ages and abilities.
  • City & Guilds is the biggest name in UK vocational education, with 2 million learners working towards one of our qualifications every year.

  • BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, champions the global IT profession and the interests of individuals engaged in that profession for the benefit of all.

  • The National Skills Academy for IT has been created by employers to promote excellence in IT learning and development. Subscribers to the Skills Academy gain instant access to online courses and resources that help them boost careers and solve everyday technical problems.
  • Computer Clubs for Girls (CC4G) is an out-of-the-box after-school club that has been specifically designed to encourage girls to stay engaged in IT.
