Main institutions:
	The Hellenic Professionals Informatics Society (HePIS) is the network that connects all the ICT Professionals in Greece and which aims at meeting the expectations of both professionals and scientists in the field of Information & Communications Technologies (ICT). HePIS’ objective is the promotion of the development of its Members’ professional and scientific interests, as well as the free exchange of their professional and scientific views within the context of a continual dialogue and the representation and defense of the interests of those professionals and scientists who are active in the fields of Informatics, Communications and New Technologies in Greece.

Key initiatives & projects:
	Digital Greece 2020 “Digital Greece 2020" is a horizontal action based on the participation of active citizens from business, education, research and public administration. It gives the opportunity to all interested parties to address policy proposals to the central and local government, representative organizations, as well as the academic-research community with regard to the initiatives that have to be taken and the targets that have to be set for Digital Greece 2020. "The use of Information and Communication Technologies in the Public Sector, by TREK Consulting for the Observatory for the Greek IS" The study investigated the current state in regard the usage of new technologies in the central public administration, as well as the readiness and the skills of public employees in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
